If that's what you like get it,but handle a Walther ppq if they have one. It's trully the best kept secret in the handgun market right now since its only a year or two old but I wholeheartedly believe my PPQ will eat a glock 19 for breakfast.

Feels better, looks better (only a little, just barely prettier than them ugly things) Points better,Shoots better, Triggers waaaay better (best yet on a poly handgun).

Has about 400-500 rounds through it and hasnt skipped a beat, even picked up a 9mm round left on the ground from the last time we were down there shooting while I was loading a mag and through that one in there and that didn't even throw it off

I always have to look twice to tell the difference between a PPQ and a Hi Point.

I just put up my WALTHER P99c AS on consignment at the local shop. I love the gun but prefer my glock mainly because it holds more rounds.

I think what a lot of people find they don't like about the p99as is the three different triggers on the first round, its the best features of a true SA/DA and a striker fired pistol all in one,but that seems to me like just plain alot of features to have, perhaps to much.

the PPQ is more of a slimmed down and refined p99, same trigger from first to last round. It's about 4.5 pounds and has a light take up and then comes to a "wall" of sorts where most of that 4.5 lbs is found, crisp break... And resets almost immediately after releasing the trigger.
Oh and it takes the same capacity as a g19 which is almost the sane size

Yeah I agree the P99 seems to be a bit too much for a lot of people. The guy at the shop put a clip in it and couldn't figure out how to get it out.
Yours sounds like its more manageable and big plus it carries more rounds.

Yea that's because of the different, almost HK style, mag release. Those paddles under the trigger guard, you either love em or you hate em. I personally like them.you can eject with trigger finger without shifting your grip, just takes some getting used too.

But I think that's exactly what it is,the p99 especially the AS model is just too much for those not well versed in handguns, and I would think it takes lots of practice to take advantage of all those features efficiently. But they definantly toned it down with the PPQ,and I think they hit a home run with it. So if you see me pimping it around the forum I'm just trying to get it out there in more peoples hands and get it the credit it deserves.
