Are you wanting to keep the compensated barrel/slide?
I had a G23C for a while (w/ regular sights). I used to just lick a finger and wipe the front sight off periodically. But the dirt on the sight might be more distracting if it's a night sight.
If you fire that thing at night, you're going to have trouble picking up any sights at all after the first shot. Just firing mine at an indoor range, I could see the two jets flash up on each shot.
