Default Pround new Glock Owner!!!!
I am going to pick up my new Glock 19 tomorrow and am so excited. My first gun was was a kel-tec p-11 and was 100% reliable through 200 rounds. I shot a glock the other day and loved it. I knew I had to get rid of that looonnnggg trigger pull with the p11 and move up to Glock. So after looking at all models this weekend I decided the Glock 19 was right for me. the 17 was to large and the 26 handle was too small for my hands. The 19 just felt right to me. I would love to hear any positive comments about this gun. Had a few questions:

1. Is there a best ammo for break in period?
2. How many bullets are recommended for the break in period?

If there is anything else I should know about breaking the gun in right Please share. I am so thrilled to finally get a glock and learning alot in this forum.

Congrats of your purchase. As far as ammo, reloads will void warranty. What bullet weight is your choice. Follow the owner's manual. I do not know how many rounds are recommended for break-in. Enjoy it at the range until you feel it is ready for self-defense.

Glocks do not have a break in period. Any jacketed bullet will be just fine...

Clean it and shoot it. It should shoot anything you feed it.

Clean it before you go to the range the first time, then clean it after any firing. Don't abuse the gun, you'll be the one who pays for it.

My 19 has been great out of the box. Feels great in my hand and goes bang when I pull the trigger...cannot ask for much more than that.

My 19 is great. Every time I take it out, I get better with it. I shoot CCI Blazers for target loads. I have never had an issue with them. Have fun, and enjoy your new piece!

Congratz on you're new Glock!

NGIB is right. Glocks have no break-in period.
