If not everyone would say 1911, i'd go with my G23 any day over the POS 1911 i have owned.

I would never consider a 1911. It would have to be my Glock 32 in .357 Sig.

Everything you need but don't want.

9mm to girly, we can all agree on that. But speed is awesome.
40s&w is considered a yuppie round. But it has the "stopping" power that a 9mm has wet dreams about.

Nobody wants those things. But the .357 SIG solves all that drama. Speed of a 9mm and the punch of the .40

I think I'll go over to the 1911 Section and ask the same question; "Hey guys, I gotta question for you. If you could only have one handgun; which one would you take? To make it a little less broad, lets exclude the infamous glock brick."

To answer your post question, I would select the Browning Hi Power.

OP, I find your thread self-indulgent. - cane

heh i would still take the 1911a1. ive owned at one time or another a very wide variety of handguns or have tried them out. carried a sig220 for years but nothing is as easy to shoot or as reliable and accurate for me as a good 1911a1.

sorry but your question is flawed

I'm just gonna flat out ignore the rules and take my 1911........if you wanna fight about we can take turns bashing each other in the head with our choices and see who falls first....

How about excluding the 1911 AND any Glock? To make it fair.
