| Parts to be replaced?
I'm new to Glock. Just bought my G19G4 2 weeks ago. Bought and installed some modification parts. Improved my accuracy and loving it.
My question is: What part to be replaced on every how many rounds? Just like cars, replace oil filter every 3k miles, timing belt, brake pads on certain mileages.
Thank you for any inputs, appreciate it. |

Recoil Spring Asssembly 3000 to 5000 rounds. Other springs at the same time, I usually check them against new ones for length when doing annual inspections. __________________ Linda

The RSA is about the only thing that is replaced with any regularity and even it should last at least 5000 rounds, depending on the kind of ammo you use. The rest of the gun probably can go 50K using the original parts. __________________ US Army 1966-69, VFW Life Member, Retired Geek |

Nothing really needs to be replaced every "X" shots as mentioned above. Just make sure to keep it clean. Usually after every 5-10 shooting sessions I do a complete clean of every part. I mean, things can happen just be mindful of how each piece functions and how to safety check everything. Recoil spring, only if needed. Keep contact areas around the outside of the barrel oiled and you are good to go! |

Thx guys for the inputs. My new 2weeks old g19g4 had fired 600 rounds. An hour ago i stripped everything, cleaned, lubed and reassembled. It was easy. For the rsa, i upgraded mine with the tungsten one. So i assume it last longer than the stock one? |

Not really, nothing wrong with the stock RSA. __________________ US Army 1966-69, VFW Life Member, Retired Geek |
