One more glock question
I posted a couple days ago about my new glock 19, I was thinking about duracoating it to add a little customization. Any one use duracoat? Opinions?

I have used it. Im not a big fan of it. It makes your gun look cheap. I doesnt wear well and becomes a pain to have to retouch. Just leave the gun the way it is. If you wanted a pretty gun, you shouldnt have bought a glock;)

Duracoat is not resilient.

Cerakote is a much more durable finish.

Lol thanks much guys, I'll check out the cerakote, I'll probably just leave it be though

How many rounds you got down range? Don't be so eager to "pimp" it out yet!
But if you're just dying to....pimp your stockpile of ammo!
Just busting your cahones bro!
But seriously.....
Cerakote is the better way to go for sure.
Check the link I'm sending you, it's pretty cool and gives you all the color combinations you can dream of and let's you see what it'll look like! And better yet, the gun sample is a Glock 17!!!!!!!!
Double bonus!

Lol! I feel ya, I'll check out the link, I def don't want to have to re finish every two weeks but I still want to make it my own, the guy at the gun shop said they only made so many of the glocks with the tan bodies which is what I was looking for.

You might also look at hydrodipping. Its a bit more expensive but fairly durable and the hydro dip can be done in many very interesting patterns. Images are more like photos that patches of color...
