Hi All, I have been reading everything I can find for the last couple of months, as well as every Glock video on youtube. I debated for quite some time between the .40 S&W and the 9mm. I finally settled on the Glock 19 and picked it up at a gunshow last weekend, ($459.00) and was able to hit the range a couple of times this past week. I have shot 500, flawless rounds and have never been this acurate with a hangun, EVER!!!! I LOVE it.

I also picked up a 33 round mag. My 13 year old son is also pretty fond of it as well.

Thanks for all input which helped to make this awesome purchase decision.

Welcome vakers. You will take a bit of flak from the 1911 crowd for buying a Glock but it's all in fun. BTW, why the 9 instead of the 40 just wondering?

I went wth the 9mm because at one time I owned a Smith Sigma 9mm and was really comfortable shooting it. Several articles that I read said that the 19 was the #1 sold Glock. I also like to shoot alot so the price difference in the ammo was also a factor. I have a 1911 for home protection so I'm covered there plus I'm now researching other Glock models for my next purchase. I need to stop buying guns and get my CHL........
