I own a G-32, 357 SIG. I find it to be a pleasure to shoot and I haven't had too much of a problem finding the SIG ammo.
I also invested in a 9mm Storm Lake barrel and G-17 mags. I have a Lone Wolf 40 S&W barrel on order (the 40 cal and 357 cal mags are the same) and I have an AA 22LR conversion kit on order.
For a total investment of around $1000 I will have the equivalent of four pistols.
I just purchased a 23. I'm glad I did, as I almost went with the 9mm. The 23 has some snap, but is very controllable. I'm a skinny guy that can't control a M1911 for the life of me, but I can control the 23 very well.
I haven't fired a pistol in 4 years as I've been busy with college, and I was shooting 3" groupings today at 7 yards with the 23 with cheap Wal-Mart ammo. Not to bad for taking 4 years off...
