There is nothing wrong with the 9mm round. If you have good rounds, it is a perfect carry choice. The Glock 19 is a fantastic carry option if you shoot well with it.

Cho Seung used a Glock 19 during the Virginia Tech massacre. I hate mentioning it, but it is the truth

Is up to you what caliber you shoot. But how do you know that if he was hit in the same place with a different caliber the outcome would have being any different.

I think a 45 or a 10mm would have a different outcome. I like 45's for that very reason. I understand 9mm have stopping power but not enough for me.

People can take multiple hits from most handgun calibers and continue fighting. If they are not hit in a vital area then theirs now reason for them to stop.

Not a big Glock fan, but if it were me, I'd choose either the G30 or G36. Both concealable, (especially the 36), both .45acp. My $.02 you understand.

There was the Cop in Illinois who shot a guy 17 times with a .45 and it was teh final head shot that put the guy out of the fight.

In handguns, they all suck. If you want to bet your life on stopping someone immediately with a handgun, it's a bad bet in any caliber. Pick a gun you can operate well and get the best hits with... over and over again. Be prepared to "Shoot until they change shape or catch fire" as someone else stated somewhere else here.

Totally agree with your second paragraph Doc, but the first? 1) Who makes a .45 with a 17rd capacity? And, 2) A bad guy walks thru 17rds of .45acp? No offense but that's a tough nut to crack. If you can supply the link, I'd like to read that one for myself.

Glock 21. Cop reloaded twice. Over 30 rounds fired. 17 were hits. I'll see if I can find the link and get right back.
