Default New Glock 21

I have just recently purchased a new Glock 21 .45 and am shooting Winchester WINCLEAN 45 Automatic 230 grain bullets. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to the best bullet for this gun?

Best bullet for your pistol is what you shoot best in it. try out a bunch. Modern ammo what it is most all will work OK. But your pistol will like some better than others. Meaning you get better groups with brand X over brand Y. And if you had two of the same pistol both probably will like different types. It's just how pistols are. Back when I had a Glock the practice ammo my 19 liked best was Sellier and Bellot. It seemed like the hotter ammo just shot better. Maybe I just shot it better I don't know truth be told. but that same ammo did not shoot as well in my 17. Close but not the same.

Get a few boxes of different stuff and see what works for you.

Here's an idea...how about stopping by the introductions thread and let us know a bit about yourself. That is what most new member do, anyway. Just a thought.

Congratz on the Glock 21! She's a fine weapon.

I agree with DrumJunkie on your ammo question. Try different brands until you find one that works best with your pistol.

Thank you. Im happy with the gun so far.
I was informed when I bought the gun that with glock weapons you can only use full metal jacket bullets. I am wondering if this is true?

I shoot the cheap WWB fmj stuff from Wally World for practice. Hey it goes down range . Remington's UMC is good for practice also for my 21sf. I don't get picky until I start loading up with the personal defense rounds. Targets don't live or die depending on what blows holes in their skin. Winchester Supreme Elite +p is what I have loaded by my bed right now. I'll let you know how they stop perps shortly. Break-ins are abundent in this town! It's only a matter of time.

...oh and to answer the FMJ question. Stay away from the cowboy loads (lead ball). Jacketed hollow points are OK. The barrel isn't designed to shoot unjacketed ammo. If you want to do that, then you can buy an after market barrel from Storm Lake, Lone Wolf or another barrel manufacturer.
