You'll be happy with the G23, it's a good all around gun, I have the gen 3 and it's surprisingly accurate and points well. If you want a CC .40 than the G27 would be good and holds 9+1.. Plus of course you can use G23/G22 mags..

I considered that but decided 40 in such a small package would be too snappy for an EDC. For my carry sub compact my LC9 does just fine. But hey I'm only 21. If I don't have at least 10 handguns or probably more by the time I die I'll be surprised.

Well I made my decision today and ended up going with a Ruger SR40. I looked at the Glocks too and they are nice guns but the cost savings along with the good reviews lead me to go with the Ruger. I think your advice here on this thread helped me choose the .40 S&W over the .45 ACP. I do think the .40 is more readily available after searching a few sources. Thanks guys.

Glad you went with the .40. Congrats. I trust the reliability of a Glock just a tad more than Ruger, but if you include my rifles, I have way more Rugers than Glocks. Now get some snap caps & the cheapest ammo your gun can stand.....and practice your a$$ off.
