i like the 19 because its cheaper to shoot but the 23 does have more stopping power.

Isn't the G19 a full size? I have the G23 and once I get my CWP, then it will be my carry piece. The G23 is a compact and as stated in the other response, more stopping power. Plus from other threads you can apparently get a barrel conversion for the G23 and shoot 9mm, just need mags too. Haven't heard if this is true for the Gen4 but have read a bunch on here about Gen3 conversions. Either way the G23 is the way to go.

Don't know the models that well looks like the G19 is a compact. Another thought on the conversions idea, you can go down but not up apparently.

The G-19 is a compact, the 17 is full size and the 26 is the baby. I like my 23. I use it for carry or home defense. You can always get a 9mm conversion barrel for the 23 and shoot 9's through it. I'd vote for the 23. Good luck.

As previously stated, if you chose the 23, you could get the 9mm barrel and mags so you could shoot 9mm. You could also do like I did and get a .357 Sig barrel to shoot those bad boys too. The 357 uses the same mags as the .40 too! Three guns in one!

Get the 19. Or the 23 so that u can swap barrel for the 9mm in the future. Or get both!

I was torn between those two models and went with the 23Gen4. Glad I did and as has been said you can get the 40-9 conversion barrel whereas if you get the 19 you can't go up to .40 easily

ok so does anyone know for sure if its possible to get a conversion barrel on a G23 Gen4, because I've only heard so far its possible on Gen3s. I want a Gen4. If possible does anyone know about how much these barrels run for?

I found thus reply one of the other threads.

[QUOTE="dsstark"]Ran about 70 rounds through my new Lone Wolf 9mm conversion barrel in my 23 Gen4. Worked perfectly. No failures to eject. Actually shot better than with the 40 cal barrel, at least today. Looking forward to running a few hundred rounds through it.
