Default Need Bare Frame Info. / Process

I was wondering if I were to go with a lone wolf receiver and order it online what would the process be? Does it have to go through FFL? Is it just sent to your door? Is the stripped receiver its self considered a firearm? I have so many questions just don't know where to find the answer..

The frame is considered the firearm in most cases. Being a new firearm it would have to be delivered to your FFL where you would pick it up after completing the paperwork and paint any transfer fees. Easiest is to find a dealer who is willing to receive the gun and transfer it for the best price first. Then give the vendor their info.

the lower frame of a pistol, whether stripped or complete is considered a firearm by BATF standards and has to go through an FFL and the 4473 Form has to be filled out and a background check done. it's the same procedure as if you were buying a complete gun.

I don't know what your ordering it for but I'd you were looking for a mag well our can only get a lone wolf one. I would say you would be better off finding a frame

I can understand wanting to upgrade to a rail, but what the heck does "tactical" mean to you. This is the most over used word in the gun culture.

i guess tactical on a pistol, means it has a rail?

i have gotten to the point that i almost hate the word tactical almost as much as i hate the terms, "assault rifle", "assault weapon", and "sniper rifle".
