The only reason you didn't eat mac&cheese in Nam, was because they didn't make it in powder.

I was a PO3 S.O. UMW at the Nha Be Naval support base on the Nah be song river ( Saigon river now) and we ate anything we could get our hands on , but I honestly don't ever remember having M&C.
The only people who carried 45 pistols were officers when I was over there. We had 20mm's, M60's and M14's, and the Mike boats had a little bit of everything. In Saigon I saw some NCO Seabee's with sidearms . My issue was an M3 GM which was crap and took a harvard degree just to keep it mantained, considering it stayed wet all the time.

$575 is a little high for a Gen 4 unless you're in a ban state. Even without the LE pricing you can shop around and find them for $535 or so.
