I just learned through the grapevine that a guard at the Ronald Reagan Building in D.C. fired a round accidentally. Despite the fact it happened when no one was around, he promptly reported the AD. He was fired from his job anyway.

Just ask Plaxico Buress all about glock AD. He now has plenty of time to elaborate.

Chalk it all up to carelessness and lack of user weapon safety ...............markerdown

Damn, I worked at the RR building for 4 years. They all carry S&W 38 revolvers. Wonder how THAT "shooter induced discharge" happened?

The way I read the OP:

1. Pointed the gun at myself
2. Pulled the trigger

I can't thing of any gun that is safe from that condition

A big +1 on that.

Dzscubie-
The Reagan Building now has some guards who carry Glocks and some who still carry .38 revolvers. Eventually all will have Glocks, so I'm right...

Let me reiterate that this thread is an opportunity to read up on some interesting ADs, not a veiled attempt to paint Glocks as unsafe. I own and use Glocks myself. Let's lighten up, guys !

Hey Rentacop, lighten up. I own a half dozen Glocks myself and actually could care less if anyone else doesn’t like them, I dislike Ruger autos myself. I was just commenting that the private security guards were carrying 38's when I left a year ago and wondering who had the SID (shooter induced discharge) and if I knew them. No need to take cover bro I’m not throwing rocks.
