jumping in with both feet
i own (and love) a gen 3 model 22. i also own an hk usp 40.

well, i did....

yesterday i traded my hk in for a model 17 rtf2 (hey, i like fullsize)

what i want to know, is what is everyone's beef with rtf2? is it glock's red-headed stepchild or something?

asked a buddy to talk me down...i'll get him for this.

now he's gotta talk me out of trading in my 1911 on a model 21:eek:

I love the rtf. I have a 22 and 23 in rtf. For me, I think it is what Glock should have made from the get go. Just my $.02.

I've never had, nor handled an RTF2... but what I've heard is the rough texture doesn't feel so good when concealed carrying.

the "rough texture" is nothing. you gotta see one to believe it. you'll be i've also heard the slide serrations hurt guys fingers....uh,yeah.

are these things rabbits?
just dropped a deposit on a model 21. i'm starting to think a model 20 will be in order as well. does anyone here own a 20? i figure, the 44 mag recoil has got to be more abrupt. i like the glock platform, and figure a 10 in that seems like a decent way to go.

RTF great for me
I have a medical condition that causes my hands to persipire. Normally I shoot with gloves or at least with something to dry my hands. I like the Gen4 texture because it feels more, ummm, "grippy" than the previous ones.

As to concealed carry, I could see how it would be an issue if it were pressed against more sensitive areas. <ahem>

tell ya what. as far as sensitive ares, i went with a galco king tuk. about 4 o:clock position. i can actually forget i'm carrying a model 22 or the rtf. not invisible, but pretty close.

I carry my 23 rtf in a supertuck delux and have never been uncofortable. The slide serations do not hurt the fingers, they work quite well. The rtf my not be for everyone, but I like mine a bunch. Go put your hands on one and decide for yourself.

I own a 21sf & I too am considering a 20. At this time I'm really happy with what I've bought, but I also need to buy a G35. I mean really, one can never have too many Glocks...right? I carry my G27 as my CC gun. I bought a 357sig barrel for it, so it is really like having 2 guns. I also bought a 9mm barrel & 9mm mags for it, so it's really like having 3 guns. How great is that?

the biggest part of the fight will be talking myself out of the 50 cal kit for the 20.
