Last night I had a little spare time to take my Glock 21 to the range for a function test for the first time. It was night, so I didn't put up any targets. This was a pure function-only test.
First off, I was very impressed. The recoil is light and muzzle flip was about on par with most 9mm sidearms I have fired. This pistol is very natural to shoot (for me) and the action worked flawless. I even tried to "limp wrist" it a little with no negative effect.
On a side note, I recommend everyone on here to do a "night-fire" at some point. It was great seeing that .45 ACP muzzle flash every time I touched off a round.
This pistol is going to be my main home defender now. Today I plan on performing some accuracy testing with it at 7, 10, 15, 25, and 50 yards. I'll be doing multiple drills with defense situations in mind. I'll post up the results once I am back for the day.
I am a convert. I am in no way going to be like those Glock fanboys out there, and I still think the best .45 design on the market is the 1911, but I now think that the Glock (.45 ACP at least) is now number three in my best pistols list.

2. Browning Hi-Power pistols
3. Glock pistols (model 21 specifically, but I imagine most models will perform the same)
I still ahve to test out my S&W Sigma .40, and my Springfield XD9 today. My list may change, but not by much.
