Be sure to check out the glock 26. Great shooter and compact.

I had a G19, G23 and G36. The G36 is a single stack 45acp and the only one that came close to fitting my hand. I no longer have any Glocks. Take a look at the XDs in 45 if you want a very small 45.

Try out a Keltec PF9 or P11...
teensy!

And you won't feel bad when it gets confiscated after a defensive shooting...
(you get it back after investigation is complete if it was a good shoot)

Unless the justice department confiscates it as evidence in a federal civil rights case.

Glock 19, small enough to conceal, big enough to shoot for most big paws, high capacity 15+1! One could argue that's its the most versatile hand gun made!!

I usually carry a Ruger P95 but I have no problems carrying my XD competition model with a 5" barrel. You might need to expand your horizons when it comes to holsters. OWB holsters are great for IDPA and looking cool at the BBQ. But for concealing a weapon. When I say concealed I mean concealed. A belly band or IWB holster does much better.

In your humble opinion. IMHO, in horse and buggy days, seven rounds beat most six shooters by a small margin, and was faster to reload. Today, with Mexican gangs roving every American highway and many city streets, no way I am going to pack only seven rounds for self protection.

Have a friend with a high dollar Kimber. He neglected to keep it oiled. It is showing signs of pitting from rust. SS gun. No Glock I have ever seen has that issue from neglect.

Stick a twenty round mag in a Glock 10mm and have more firepower than gangs, only way to go these days. Like I say, IMHO. I also carry a ankle holstered storm sub compact 9mm +p+ with 18 rounds. This never leaves my side 24/7

The Smith 439 just does not cut it for me self defence wise because it is not rated +p+ or does not hold enough rounds for a SHTF event, which I hope to never see.

I'm not really worried about gangs unless I head to downtown Indy. My 8 + 1 and a spare 8 round mag are plenty for me if I ever feel like I need 20 + rounds of 10mm where I live I'm moving. Or just carrying my ar and full combat gear.
