Good point-that was the original question (issue) of this thread, until it got highjacked onto some rabbit trails!

But the trails were fun!!-

Thank you, too; 'rabbitmen'. :-P
"Rabbitmen", I like that.

If you want an external safety, by all means get one. My only intention with my replies, was to point out that no safety will make a gun safe if it is handled unsafely.

Default Glock trigger safety?

Thanks again, M14-

Btw-that's one of my fav rifles, as well. Just needed to be put into a bullpup,
a bit like the AUG, imho.

I really DO wish someone reputable would start doing a slide-mounted 1911-
configuration safety, similar to the one on that Austrian M22 I mentioned,
previously. I know I'm not the only one out there who'd be wiling to pay what
they charge for that frame-cut monstrosity, called a 'safety'.

We'll see-

Well the Glock is a double action pistol unlike the many other platforms—which eliminates the need for a decock lever. We just used the Beretta's safety/decock lever to "decock" the weapon. We always had that thing hot in the Air Force—with the safety off. I am sure that they could put some kind of external safety on it if more people request another version

Yeah, I know. It seems that $700-$1,000 is the new benchmark for M14 stocks. Crazy. But the JAE G2 is pretty amazing!

Gotta love the old M14! I don't know of any other rifle which can go toe to toe with the AK-47 in reliability under various environments!

AND do it accurately, AND at long range.

Have I mentioned that I LOVE M14's?
