Glock rattle noise

Why with a full load mag inserted, the glock will make a Rattle noise if you shake it?? Alway wondered that.

It should rattle (striker) when empty too.
Glocks talk. Don't worry about it.

HA, I like that answer. So that's what it is, the striker. Sweet, thanks for the info!!

Lol. Yeah if it doesn't have a little rattle you have a problem. It's actually the last thing that an armorer will check before the gun leaves. No rattle no good.

I found this thread and had to try....

my '96 Model 30 does not rattle....at all.
Perhaps that is a 9mm thing?

Striker channel probably needs a cleaning.

TruggieTex 06-14-2013 01:20 PM

Thanks.

Will check that out. I purchased new and can't imagine that anyone snuck in and cleaned that......probably time!

Are all Glocks blued or are they Parkerized, when new?

mountainman13 07-02-2013 12:42 AM

Neither.
They used to use a tennifer coating but the process leaves behind terrible waste products. If I remember correctly (it's late, I'm exhausted ) they now use a similar but much safer nitrate coating.
