Glock Haters

I understand that most people have their own opinions, likes and dislikes about guns. And I truly understand why people despise the Glock fanboys. I just don't understand why there are so many Glock haters posting in the Glock forum. If you hate all things Glock, why make an effort to be exposed to the Glockophiles.
I apologize in advance for posting this and starting the potential flame war. That's what happens when you drink a few too many whiskey and Cokes then read through these forums.

hate to say it, but you just opened up a huge can of worms!

most of these thread start out okay, but degrade quickly and usually end up getting deleted or closed.

Many folks click on "new post," and arent really aware what section it is posted in.

I know that some people are very passionate about the topic. My only question is, if you hate Glock, why subject yourself to that.
I guess maybe it's due to the Glock fanboys posting anywhere and everywhere about the "wonders of the Glock" :/
Disclaimer; I like Glocks. I have one and a second one on the way.

I wasn't aware of that option. I access these forums on a mobile app and it doesn't have that option as far as I can tell.

Most people don't hate Glocks. They just don't see them as the greatest thing ever made. If you so much as say one bad thing about Glock, the fanboys will label you as a Glock hater for life.

When you do see people jokingly hating on Glock, it usually just to piss off the fanboys.

I've been called a Glock hater, even though I have made it very clear that I'd like one in 10mm.

I think at the root of it is defiance. Glock came, saw, and conquered. A thoroughly European design, plastic and all, has become dominant in American law enforcement and in the civilian self defense market. This simple fact has caused a low-grade resentment among certain gun folks. Note that almost of of them are nationalist, if not reactionary, in their general outlook.

They get easily irritated when Glock pistols are praised. Most of us don't care if a certain piece of hardware gets love from its owners. But for some people it is a truly emotional challenge. They will complain and argue to no end. In the media, they call it a slow news day.

i'll tell you my opinions of the Glock before all hell breaks loose!

i don't hate, nor love Glocks. but i also feel that way about most polymer pistols to begin with. i have shot many Glocks over the years, but have never owned one personally. i won't dismiss owning one, if the right one comes along at the right price. the Glock is not the be all, to end all pistols that the Glock Fanboys try and lead us to believe. yes they are a dependable and reliable pistol, but so are most other polymer pistols for that matter.

the Glock is a good pistol, but let's not make it out to be some mythical piece of machinery that it isn't. they can have problems just like any other pistol can.

when someone says the Glock is the best pistol ever made and the only one a person will ever need, then i think that person needs a reality check and i label them a fanboy.
