Glock front sight removal

Does the bolt holding the stock front sight normally look like this? I can't get it out because it's so far forwards

Don't know what model you have but looks like a long slide. I just checked my gen 3, 35 and it looks the same. I've never tried to remove it not sure if it takes a special tool or what.

If it has been thread locked you're pretty well sol without the tool. If not a flat head screwdriver will usually work to get it started.

Buy you a cheap 3/16 in nut driver and take it to the grinder and grind it down so that it will fit. Or just buy a glock tool made specific for the removal of the front sight.
