I've shot around 10 IDPA major matches, 2010 nationals and 2011 worlds.

I've seen 1911's fail infinitely more than the glock. I got DQ'd at Missouri state this year because my G34 slamfired on my first COF. (Blame the gunsmith....me)

Irrefutable evidence.

Glocks have great ergonomics to me. I was a Glock hater from way back and ever since I got my first one I fell in love with it. I love the way it handles and hold up to anything you toss at it. Even in police academy I saw 2 different G22's shoot by accident a 9mm and have zero damage.

We were confused by this too. Hubby thinks he meant there was accidentally a 9mm bullet in a .40 cal gun and it shot without damaging the gun. Not sure though.

I think he means they shot a 9mm round out of the G22 .40 cal. That's what I get out of it.

A slamfire is when the round discharges as it's being chambered, caused by an incorrect protrusion in the firing pin...or striker. There may be other causes but I'm not a gunsmith...so I'm not sure...
