Sure.

Without naming names. I know for a fact that there are magazines full of HP ammo in service in the middle east. Whether its 77gr SMK in 5.56, or
Or 127gr +p+ HP in 9mm, 90gr +p+ frangible in 9mm... this ammo is loaded for and provided to the US MIL by WCC.

Don't buy into the "NATO" this, and "ball ammo" that.

(I'm just sitting here waiting for a certain someone to disagree too)

Which units issue something other than "nato" or "ball" ammo?

The last I checked, the only issued ammo that wasn't "nato" was ammo for special applications.

It's one thing to take your own ammo (which was a court martial offense when I was in) and isn't really worth it to get up in arms over it, is it?

Hell, who's up in arms?

I'm educating those that don't know better.

I'm confused. I lost track of the argument with all of the back and forth bantering going on. Is the argument the military uses expanding ammunition on a regular basis? If this is not the case I stand corrected. If it is the case where is the documented proof? If there is none this is quickly turning into another, "Top Tier" AR-15's are better" argument.

I have deleted the unproductive post, back on topic, no personal attacks.

This includes the use of Son.

Oh puhlease BillT, everybody knows that bastid child of the AR-10 isn't fit to lick the magazines of the AK-47.

But seriously, maybe the military could make the 10mm more popular using the Glock 20? That would be interesting.

I don't really see how it would be an upgrade.
Glocks are not inherantly superior to any number of other potential options. They just happen to have aggresive marketing departments. Oh, and they practically give the things away to LE organizations. Cheaper, yes, superior is another issue entirely. What about the hammer is the problem? FWIW, lack of a hammer bothers me.

Personally I think they shouldn't have fixed what wasn't broken to begin with....

I understand many 1911's still in service in the 80's were in rough shape, but did that really warrant going to a whole new weapon? Can we say "kick backs"? That's what I think really happened.

10mm... I love you.

Maybe this would make the 45 crowd shutup. More capacity and ballistically superior to the 45.

Although, the Tupperware lower may not fare well in a sandy theatre that they currently play in.
