A G31 .357 Sig has a bullet diameter of .355 (9mm) while a .38SPL has a
bullet diameter of .357 (assuming jacketed bullets for both). As you can
see a .38SPL is larger than the .357 Sig and attempting to fire a .38SPL
in a .357 Sig is foolhardy at best.
