I'm gonna buy a gen 4 glock 26 for my wife. She's shot one before and didn't do bad at all. She's just not too comfortable with the Recoil. I'm Wanting to do a few minor things to reduce recoil for her. Any suggestions? I've been looking online and I found tungsten and stainless steel guide rod, aluminum floor plates etc. You think if I put those on along with some grip tape, night sights, grip extensions, metal slide plate, and a snug plug it will help?

I've never used the guide rods do I'm not too sure if they affect the operation of the firearm or not.

Google a company called Sprinco. It should help with her issues. I have one in my 1911.

I have a stainless rod in my 26. I don't know if it reduces recoil; its been in the gun too long to remember what recoil was like before. However, for a subcompact is is quite easy to shoot.

I bought all my stuff from Glockmeister.

I'm also curious if all the other items, which will add weight, will aid in reduced felt recoil.

I seriously doubt it.

Yes. Weight decreases felt recoil. Pick up a heavy guide rod and if it is still too much for her you can consider a compensated barrel etc.
