Default Glock 23 Mods? suggestions!!!

I'm new to the Glock family but I already know that I'll be holding on to my Glock 23 for a very long time. Which brings me to this thread...I want to make some mods I'm just not sure what I can do...lol...or rather what I should do. I know Glock's in general are pretty awesome stock but they can be much better. Where should one start and any suggestions on where to look price wise!!!?

What does it need other than ammo & mags? Shoot it a lot, get proficient and then you'll know if you need to make any changes. If it ain't broke - don't fix it...

Seriously, just relax and invest in ammo. Glocks are designed to be simple so there's no reason to make it into something it isn't. As you get other guns, and I'll bet you will, you'll learn to appreciate each for what it is...

With out a doubt this is the most asked question I hear about gun "X". My answer is the first accessory you get should be AMMO. 500 - 1000 rounds down range and you are much more proficient. Join a club (IPSC or IDPA) and shoot about 8-10 matches. You will see your skill level skyrocket.

When you are ready to spend some green, attend a formal training class (Gunsight, Thunder Ranch, Front Sight, LFI, etc). You will see what your gun needs and what is just a gimmick. "Real" gunfighters shoot, ALOT and do not rely on gimmicks and gadgets. Look at the sidearms carried by most SWAT teams, SEAL teams and the gun gurus, most have stock pistols that are VERY well broken in.

Awesome thanks for the replies....I'm def gonna start stocking up on ammo and getting some good trigger time in!!! I am definitely pumped about shooting now that I have a gun that sits more comfortably in my hand.

Buy ammo, shoot, buy more ammo. Shoot again. The best investment you can make is in yourself, which means reps at the range.

Night sights and a good holster are good investments down the line, especially if you intend to carry.

You can also affordably add a caliber with a conversion barrel if you like.
