I have both, both of them are excellent weapons, however i have to admit it, the 30 is a very accurate weapon.

And for concealed carry, it is easier concealed, I would vote for the 30, then get the 21 later down the road

That's exactly what I've done. My 30SF is always on my side and I'm very happy with it. Had some problems out of the box but Glock sent me parts and it's taken care of. A+ !!!!!!

The 21 would be on the large side for EDC. Have one and like it a lot but its more of a camping gun for me.

Depends on what you like. The 21 is still big and heavy compared to the 30. But I'm more of a 19 guy to begin with. Mostly for all around size, fit and shootability for repeat hits, and ability to drive the gun.

For open carry the 21 is fine. The 30 makes the option of both more doable but the 21 is a large gun. Which I personally like.

Talaras, I own both and the best I can tell you is that I have no problem carrying the 21 openly, however, it is heavier. More barrel for accuracy and more rounds in the magazine, but I'm a big guy (6'4", 225-lbs) so it doesn't even come close to uncomfortable and the larger grip is more comfortable for shooting. Absolutely nothing wrong with the 30, but it is smaller all around and can be concealed more easily. The 30 makes a great BUG to the 21.
