Glock 19 with Winchester Ranger +P+ ammo
Ones anyone have experience running their Glock 19 with Winchester Ranger +P+ ammo? I don't want to damage the barrel or any other components, but would love to use this ammo for personal defense. Is this ammo too hot for the Glock? I don't see anywhere in the manual that says you can run +P+ ammo. But then I'm not sure any pistols out there say its ok.

I am sure there are LE departments that use this ammo for their service pistols?

Glock suggest that you not feed the gun a healthy diet of +p ammo. I'm sure in moderation it's fine. But your only reason for shooting it should be to make sure it runs without any problems plus it can get expensive.

I've put a few rounds of this ammo thru my gen4 17 and gen4 26. It functioned flawlessly in both pistols.

Thanks guys. I guess I'll shoot a couple mags just to see how much it kicks and then just keep the rest loaded in mags for self defense.

I'm using PMC 115 grain for plinking. Hopefully the feel isn't a whole lot different.

Unless you have SPECIFIC listing showing that a particular gun/barrel will handle +P+ ammo, DO NOT USE IT WITHOUT CONFIRMATION!!

SAAMI pressure specs for +P+ are pretty in, about as high as the handloads that cause KABOOMS in Glocks and other pistols.

Had a guy kaboom a S&W SIGMA at the range a couple years ago with +P+, its downright dangerous to use in guns not rated for it...
you like having fingers, right? :)
