The Wolff link sounds a little self-serving. I suppose the best idea is to shoot every magazine every now and then to keep an eye on them.

agree with that but that was the best link i could find there are others but i already had that one saved in my favorites i have a couple books that talk about spring set also i would have to dig them out of my shed though. the one i do remember is the tactical 1911 written by dave lauck he talks about spring set briefly in regards to 1911 magazines.regardless if it is self serving it has good information that one could use without buying there product.

I usually rotate the mags once a month with the loaded mags and the range mags.
