Default Glock 19 or Glock 19C?

I'm somewhat new to this and considering getting into IDPA competitions.

Are Glock 19C approved in IDPA? Is the noise that bad? What's the drawback if they control muzzle rise so well?

IMO it would benifit you to find a way to shoot both and find what works for you. i Have recently purchased a G19 for my wife.
I haven't had a chance to get to the range with it. My gun of choice is my 3rd gen G21 .

I would suggest the 19. With a "C", you could have a chance with temp blindness due to the flash. At least that's what I've read. I've never shot a "C" but I have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express!
