I bought my wife a G34 Gen 4 was supposed to be for Christmas but she has now decided that she really really likes the way the S&W 638/ 642 fits in her hand and feels more comfortable and is now thinking that she is going to get her IL CCW . Being a school teacher during the day and a part time , night time bar tender . She is thinking that she might feel safer packing out of work in the evenings

Yeah I know , when I bought that a month ago she had no intentions of carrying just target shooting . But with all the knock out sh!t going on and the bar just getting poker machines , Im pretty sure she is thinking with the right mind now .

I have a Gen 3 in a 21, and a gen 4 in a 17. I use cheap range ammo in both guns for the range, and never a FTF issue. I like the Gen 4 more with the adjustable grips ( big mits ), and the dual action recoil spring. I use them in all of my polymer framed guns.

I am teaching CCL classes in Bonfield, let me know if you are interested,
if you have not already taken them.

The bug has bitten. Yesterday, Casey and I went to the local gun superstore so she could decide between a Gen3 G19c and a Gen4 G19. She decided on the non-compensated model and purchased the Gen4 Glock 19. She also purchased a good quality gun belt and a Blackhawk Serpa paddle holster. I purchased some FrogLube. Then, we looked at ammo. She chose 135gr Federal HST. I chose 500 rounds of PMC FMJ. Next, we went to the shooting range. She has shot about 100 rounds in her entire life. Last time we went to the range, to determine if she wanted a gun, she fired1 magazine from my friend's SR40 and a few magazines from another friend's Gen3 Glock 19. She was very afraid of my Ruger LC9. Anyways, yesterday I loaded her magazines and pointed her down range. When all was said and done, she shot her 19, my custom 17, my LC9 (multiple times, some even without my suggestions) and was even firing one handed. In total, we fired about 750 rounds and 600 of those were her. When we got home, I disassembled everything and cleaned all three guns using Frog Lube. I had never tried it before, but I have to say, it is the BEST product I have ever used.
