Default Glock 19 Gen 3 vs Gen 4

What's the difference between the two hang guns?

Changeable back straps on the Gen4. Larger mag release which can also be swapped to accommodate left handed shooters. I'm sure I'm missing a couple other changes.

I stayed with the Gen3.

Most important. Dual recoil assembly. Increases life of system and reduces felt recoil. Best is the texture of the frame and reduced grip size. Makes the gun a whole lot more comfortable.

that dual recoil spring is crazy good stuff. My G20 Gen 4 has it. I never imagined I could shoot 100 rounds of 10 mm and next to no felt recoil.

The Gen4 backstraps will make the grip small, medium or large, important if you have small or large hands. If you have medium hands the Gen 3 (or Gen4 with medium strap) might be just right. Try them out and decide the fit for yourself, either generation should function well. I have a Gen 3 G19 and Gen4 G23 and prefer the Gen4 fit and rough texture. I prefer the Gen 3 in the baby Glocks.
