Thanks, I smelled BS and called it. Could I be wrong - sure - but I really doubt it. Really like your avatar BTW...

*sigh* You guys are turds. I should probably get all "moderator" on you or something, but my libertarian views keep me from doing more than dating your daughters and turning your sons on to rap music.

Interesting thread. Dumb question---Is the OP in the US? I think we
are assuming he is, but he may be in a country where he CAN buy
a G18 easily.

I actually DO know someone that has a G18. Genuine current production
gun. He's a Class 3 dealer and a LEO, and has it as a dealer sample.
IIRC, he had to get a "letter of interest" on department letterhead
before he could get it---but costwise it wasn't too bad.
I have shot it. Probably one of the more efficient ways to get rid of
all that pesky ammo you have lying around--33 rds per BZZZZT. A
Mac or maybe a PPSh41 work well for that too.
Re the OP. "I am a collector and have a permit". "I know 20 other
G18 owners." Either statement pretty well pegs my Bull$4it detector.
Maybe this guys legit, but I think something smells here. Would love to be
proven wrong. Am especially interested in that "collectors permit" that
let's him buy a gun that hasn't been available to civilians since 1986.

Just did a quick search on "transferable Glock 18". Looks like if there
were one, price would be $20,000-$100,000 USD.

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

Come on now, doesn't everyone have G18's in there basement gun cave. I have 4 myself, they are right next to my ppsh's, full auto mp5's, oh and I don't want to forget my MG240. Then the alarm clock went off, and I woke up and realized the gun cave and all it contained, was only a dream
