Hi Guys

I was recently trying to add some speed to my Glock 17 which I use for IPSC, by adding a trigger stop. Before making any firm investment, I just fitted a small piece of plastic to the back end of the trigger guard, and sanded of the excess, so that the trigger released just as it the trigger stop. The next thing I did was to take the gun to the firing range, where after firing two-three shots, on the subsequent shot the Glock went into full auto mode and shot off 6-7 rounds.

I immediately removed the trigger stop and the problem disappeared.
There are the following observations:
1) I bought it second hand and it is equipped with a 3,5 lbs connector,
2) From what I can see the trigger housing does seem to be slightly altered/damaged
3) Without the trigger stop the gun functions fine.
I am doing something wrong here, - but what ? Any suggestions?

I dunno Shihan, it could be the heat down here, but I see my fellow IPSC'ers having just as many problems with their 1911's

Could it be something with the trigger housing being altered, shaved down, a spring clipped or something like that?

Yeah, I am leaning towards the trigger housing too,...Perhaps the best thing is just to replace it. The only problem is that I can get'em down here for 15 USD, if it is possible to get'em at all. Almost every time I call a store in the US I get the answer that due to export restrictions, they can't ship it here to South America.... I think I apply Shihan's method on this one : Move to the US. Problem solved. Next question.

Hell, I'd say keep the gun (a gun is a gun, even if it is microwave safe 'cause of all the plastic)

Only I'd remove parts of it so it doesn't work and keep a full magazine in there.

Stick it next to your door, so if a guy breaks in the douche will go, "Hey! Free gun."

Then when you shoot him , he'll have the gun and you'll be safe from prosecution and said douche will of planted said Glock on him himself.
