Default Glock 17 gen 4

My lgs has a g17 gen 4 for sale at $549, and I've been wanting a glock 17 for a while. Is this a good deal? Also this will be my first pistol so I want the 9mm. I haven't held one but the 19 looks to small for my hands. All input is welcome.

It is a good price, if the 17 is what you want go for it! I recently picked up the 19 thought the 17 got a lot of consideration before I put my money down.

Glock sets the retail price on their pistols. It is possible for gun shop owners to lose their supply of Glocks for undercutting other shops.

That price sounds about right for a new G17. My own first handgun was a then new G17 Gen2 and I've never regretted the purchase. Over twenty years old and thousands or rounds with never any real problems. The 19 is actually the same thickness/circumfrance as the 17, just a bit shorter in length and height to make for easier CC.

They cost between 900-950 dollars over here at my LGS. I say it is a steal.

The price includes the 19 percent sales tax. The dollar is not doing to good either.
