Default Glock 17 or 19

Okay, I am looking to buying my first Glock for my wife and I and was just curious which model you would prefer 17 or 19 and why? Thanks

I own both. I carry and shoot my 19 the most. I find little advantage in the 17s longer slide and the 17 rd mags will still work in the 19.

MSU how much bigger is the 17 than the 19? Can you conceal the 17 if you had too?

Get the 19. A little easier for female hands. Same accuracy as 17, easier to conceal if neccessary.

I don't think that helps answer my question but thanks for your opinion.

Get the G19.. Easier to conceal and nice to shot at the range. Glocks in general are great to own. Easy to take a part and clean. Thousands of add-ons and holster.

The 17 is about a half inch longer and taller than a 19. That half inch makes a difference in concealing.
It is cold out right now so it is easy to conceal a 17 at the moment. Not so easy during the summer. Gen 4 grips are very nice. My 17 is Gen3 and my 19 is gen 4. I like a smaller grip.

So you prefer the Gen 4 or the Gen 3? Just curious because I am having a hard locating a Gen 4 here locally.

I have a gen 4 G19. I like it without either of the backstraps. It's thinner that way. It also takes 19 and 17 magazines.
