Well, as a lurker here for some time, and PROUD owner of two (yes, two) Glock Gen 4 Pistols, it seems that the standard reply is missing.
Glocks Suck , You Should Have Bought a M1911.
Despite the fact that this is (supposedly) a forum for Glock owners, it seems that sooooo many posts have nothing to do with them, and are highly critical.
Officially, I HAD an M1911. Hated it. Couldn't wait to be done with it. Heavy, slab-sided, uncomfortable POS.........................

I have several 1911's and three Glocks. 34, 23, and my Gen 4 Glock 22. I will have to say I like all of my handguns, but the Gen 4 Glock 22 which is my daily carry is becoming my most favorite handgun. I put a stainless steel guide rod in it, 3.5 connector, and changed the sights to Truglo TFO's. I have never had any problems with this gun and ran every round through this gun with zero issues. I would buy the Gen 4 Glock 22, you will not be disappointed.

I picked up my Gen 4 17 a couple days ago. I have put right at 550 rounds through it in weights of 115, 124, and 147 grains, both fmj and hollow points. Not a single issue so far.

I also have an XDM .40 and it is a great gun for sure. I like the grip texture on the Gen 4 glock better though. That of course, is just an opinion of mine. Both guns can shoot better than I am capable of shooting, and neither have given any grief, so I can't really say I think one is a better gun than the other.

I personally don't like the Gen 4. Aside from the stories about jammings, I also don't like the look of the grip. I know it is a better grip surface, and I defended the Glock look to a score of 1911 and Cowboy gun folks, but those grips are wrong looking.

Hmmm..."wrong looking," but how does it actually FEEL or SHOOT?!
