What's the story with the Gen 4 Glock issues? I've been told I should not buy one for another two years because of the problems people are having. I've also heard that the 9mm models are the ones having the most issues.

Which is not good because I plan on purchasing a 4th Gen G17.

Anyone have any problems with their Gen 4's? Should I just get a Gen 3 again?

I bought my wife a new Gen 4 model 19 a few months ago and she has not had any problems at all. She carries it as her duty weapon. I say if you want one go ahead and buy it. If you have any problems let us know (Glass is a Glock Armorer) and we will help you, we live down the road in El Paso (west side).

I haven't heard about any problems with Gen 4 Glocks. A fellow officer has a Gen 4 Glock 22 and has well over 5k rounds through it without any problems in performance or the recommended annual strip/inspection. I spend a good bit of time at Hoover Tactical Firearms (a local LE Glock distributor) they haven't had any complaints to my knowledge and they've sold a bunch of them.
