Default Gen 3 26 or Gen 4

Have G17 Gen3. Getting a G26 for CC. I rented a G26 Gen 3 and shot as well as my G17. It had Pierce plus 0 grip extension. The Gen 4 is $40 more. I hear is has a heavier trigger pull. The grip is fine for me on the Gen3 but the Gen 4 does come with extra mag. What to do?

I like the Generation 4's better, because of the larger magazine release, MBS, and the slightly lighter finish on it. As far as trigger pull and internals they're the same except for the different recoil spring.

Same exact pull. +1 for Gen4. Way better grip (rtf), and mag release is money during combat reloads, which is what you're buying the gun for

Went with the Gen4. Really like the thinner grip and larger magazine release button. I did find that the Gen4 had a somewhat heavier trigger pull. According to Glock, if I recall correctly, it's about 1lb heavier than the Gen3. Added a Ghost 5lb Tactical Connector and Lightning Strike Firing Pin Safety Plunger and it improved the trigger tremendously. I own a few Gen2 and Gen3 Glocks, and my Gen4 G26 has the best trigger of the bunch. Great gun!

I bought a G17 Gen4 for CCW. I liked so well I bought a G26 Gen4. The G26 is now my EDC.
