Default Gen 2 Model 22

I have a Model 22 Gen 2. Is it worth considering an upgrade to a newer version? Any internal changes that make it worth while other than just the change in looks and grip?

The only real difference I see in the newer versions is the accessory rail.
I'm on the search for a gen 2 glock 20 for an upgrade from my gen 2 glock 19.

Only changes are the rail and the finger grooves on the grip, same internals. The preference is up to you

Haha,

This is why I was thinking this...I saw this video

I haven't shot a Gen 4...hell I have only shot 1 glock 1 time. I haven't even shot the one I just bought for my gal yet.

Edit: Ok so I have shot a Gen 4. But I haven't shot anything else to compare it to.

Man, I do need to go to sleep. I am losing my mind.

lol I never said the video was accurate. It is just something that popped up in the side bar...it was the inspiration for my question.

And since I can't pet the elephant I think I'm off to bed...another long day of work tomorrow.

The Gen 4 G22 also has the different blackstrap sizes and improved recoil spring, but no, no need to upgrade a Gen 2 unless you don't like it. Well there were problems with some frames with serial numbers starting with E but Glock will replace them.
