Range once or twice a year? I would highly recommend that you practice much more often. When you need that gun to defend yourself muscle memory will take over...trust me. Lots of range time and training is the only way to make this happen.

Now, onto the Glock...if you're not wanting to carry it concealed I would just go with the full size G22.

WOW, just once or twice a year? Dont be surprised if you get addicted after the first time. But if your absolutely positive you wont really be shooting, the G22 will work. In all honesty, study the G23 too because if ever you decide to get a ccw and carry, the G23 is slightly better suited for that because its a compact.

Bought my first glock today. Decided to get to G23. Got it used and it looks new. Paid $450. I think its my new fav gun. Im able to conceal it pretty well being that its winter here in Minnesota.
