one year from date of purchase. it's contained in the pistol box if you get a new one.

Do you think the sigma is to big for ccw? How much bigger is it than a glock 19?

I often carry a Glock 22, which is a full size pistol. I know some people that carry full size 1911's. I imagine the Sigma is no more difficult to carry provided you can properly conceal it.

For comparison though, the G19 is 6.85" in length, whereas the Sigma is 7.25". Not really noticeable, in my opinion.

No Problems with CC of the Sigma, it is my Choice of sidearm. Look for the new SD9/40 to be out soon. Could make a great choice.

I'm glad you got a lot out of the thread! I know I did! Also, I wasn't aware that Spaceball 1 was located in Illinois

Stan, If you can find a new G23 for under $500 I think there's a lot of people who would like to know where. Everywhere I looked had them for 560-600!! I thought I was going to have to sell a leg for one. After a month of searching I found a place that sells them for $510. That was the absolute cheapest place that I found within 50 miles of me, so I bought mine there. Best of luck in your search, and keep us updated on it. You won;t regret the G23, i love mine

Default Noob-Glock Info

Hello All, After reading this thread and buying a Glock for the first time going over to GlockTalk.com might be a big help. Also research GlockSportShootingFoundation GSSF.com. They offer 1yr membership $35 and 1 Glock per year discount at participating Gun Shops. An example of such a shop Ed's Public Safety in Ga. You can call GSSF for shops in your area. They can't post or emaill the shops but Donna Bouchard 770-437-4718 will give you all the info about their buyer program, At Ed's you can see the Glock discount list as he's very much into the program. My choice is also taking the Armorer Course $150, you'd have to check their list of hosts for the course. assing the course entitles you to 2 discount Glocks per year at LEO prices. Thats it for my first post. Just a thought not a sermon.

First off, excellent choice Here is some great reasons to choose the G23. Hope it makes your choice easier.

1. Glock reliability
2. Can be used for both CCW or home defense
3. Easy to clean and easy maintenance
4. Can find parts anywhere for repairs or upgrades
Thats a few i can think of off the top of my head. Im sure theres more but this should help. Keep us updated, would love to know what you decided on

P.S. as far as price, $600 is a little much but, different cities different prices. $550 is the most i found.

Default G23 40

Hey Stan, Thanks for the reply. At the moment I have a H&K Variant 1 40 that I picked up at a gunshow in southern Va. for a steal. I just got my membership card For GSSF. With their purchase program for members and a participating dealer {250 nationwide} the price is $425. 1yr membership is $35. Plus alot of googies if you plan on being active. I'm also taking the armorer course nearby $150. Passsing gives access to LE discount $391 and a 2 gun purchase per year which is good for 3yrs. Go to Ed's Public Safety and you can view the current list of GSSF discounted Glocks. refer to my previous post for GSSF info. Take Care & Thanx.
