I agree, and the same goes with any gun.

Very bad. Lol I'm just thankful it didn't blow up. But you live and you learn. Thanks everyone for the advice.

if i had taken a $3500 Nighthawk Custom 1911, and did the same test you did, it probably would have failed too. so don't feel too bad.

some people have bought into the hype about Glocks and therefor have become Glock fanboys and they foolishly believe there is no better gun than a Glock. that's not to say the Glock isn't a good pistol, but no brand is ever going to be the end all and do all pistol. it's just not possible.

so clean up your Glock and enjoy it for what it is, a good and reliable pistol that will serve you well for many years if taken care of.

You need to have some realistic expectations, when dirt gets in places that it shouldn't be bad things tend to happen

And stop burying your guns, dirt and debri are bad. Would you drop dirt and rocks into the motor in your car and expect it to work right?
Now, go try firing a .454 Cassull and a .444 Marlin in a .410 shotgun. It worked on youtube too..... (Please dont try it, just in case.)

Man, I bet everyone here has done something that made them look a little goofy at one time or another. You live, you learn. It's all part of it. Just try to rmember on the internet you can say anything you want. But that does noting to make it any more true.

Those test vids are made to make people believe their endorsement is gospel and we all should get in lock step and comply.

There will come a day you see a fanboy post someplace or hear out on the world that brand X can do Y so you have to believe brand X is the best. n the case of a Gock you will hear the bury it in a pet cemetary and it will rise fomr the dead nad make the streets run red with the blood of the unbelievers. And you can say untrue, I tried it and the weapon failed.
It wont sway the fanboy, noting can. It's like trying to display imperfection of POTUS to an Obamaphile. Gun fanboys (no matter what platform it is) will not waver and obamaphiles will watch him eat a baby and justify it somehow. It's just how it is.

I hope your gun cleans up and works great. I am not a Glock fan but they are good guns in that they will work in most circumstances. Just remember there's a reason there are so many different types of guns available to you. It's because we all have different tastes.

BTW, did you know a 1911 can save a child form a burning building?

If you hear about people firing glocks or other firearms under water, don't feel the need to replicate it; there are youtube videos with nice camera angles and much less risk of bleeding.
