Best Glock Holster
My wife just signed us up for an open-carry gathering in the Republic of
California. The problem is, we don't have a holster for her Glock 17 yet.
Please help!!! I need your input and soon! I have to order it and make sure
it's delivered before the 2nd.
It should also have Glock 17 mag holders.
Good
Awesome
Great
Greatest <--- that's the one we want.
P.S. Also looking for the best 1911 holster.

Blackhawk makes a nice nylon holster with mag pouch for around $30.00. These holsters are ambidextrously right or left and can be worn on the belt or inside the pants.
As for a truly great open carry holster for the Glock or 1911 you can't beat the Blackhawk Serpa CQC,

Great help. I put down for 2 CQC holsters (Glock 17 & 1911) and 2 Fobus
Double Mag Pouches for open carry. I ended up buying from Optics
Planet. I liked the free shipping, I am keeping my fingers crossed that
they'll be here in time. (I doubt it).
Anyhow, I saw a manufacture video on the CQC that sold me on them. I
like the quick draw and the locking. I don't want some jack wagon to
grab the firearm from my belt and turn against me or others.
This is going to be the first of this type of even i'll go to. They are asking
me to 'Bring printed materials' So ... I'm thinking that might include:
- Local laws
- Why I open carry
- Why open carry is good for the public
- Why they don't need to fear me
- Why the media doesn't like guns
I'll see if i can get some of that together in time.

If you find the above....
If you find these a little large to carry IWB or OWB, I just purchased a Sparks Summer Special 2 made for the G19 from Brownells. Sparks are usually backed up 6 months by Brownells has them in stock and you can get it in 3 days.
will follow with photos later in the day.

girphoto, that looks ultra comfortable. We ended up getting one that would lock the gun in place. I'm not sure how comfortable it's going to be as it's all plastic.
I should have it within a few days!!!

The Summer Special II is Very Comfortable , You can wear it all day IWB with no problem. I have used one for one of my 1911's without a problem.
What I like most over plastic is that it will form to the body after a while and will give nice protection with the full length body shield.
One must remember to buy or use a pair of pants a size larger than you usually buy to accommodate the holster/gun. By the way, the gun stays in place even when running or bending over until you decide to draw.
Let us know how your holster works and hold up.
