Can bathtubs stop pistol rounds?

I have serious doubts - I think centerfire pistol rounds WILL penetrate most tubs ( certainly the fiberglas type ).

We need the Mythbusters to do a segment on this.

Fiberglass, of course. Cast Iron, not likely. Porcelain, doubt it. They are actually porcelain coated cast iron.

there inapt understanding /use & poor understanding of how a firearm truely works or what it is able to do?

Hmmmm sounds like a trip to a local scrap yard where the owner lets me shoot is in order. Lets put together a list of calibers to test.

:note all rounds will be FMJ

1.) 9mm
2.) .40S&W
3.) .45acp
4.) .357 mag
5.) .38spl
6.) .380

Thats all the pistol calibers I have, but I will do rifle rounds as well.

1.) 5.56x45
2.) 7.62x39
3.) 5.45x39
4.) 7.62x51
5.) and last but not least 300 WSM

Don't know about bullet penetration of cast iron, but I do know I would be pleasantly surprised to find Minnie Driver hiding in my tub, with or without the pistol.
