Hey brother, I gave my two cents. I know I was being helpful and honest. Go with an Hk USP if you want an excellent polymer gun. Trust me!

I actually took the time to look it up. Looks legit.
And now I'm considering that and a few sigs.
I appreciate it!

Based on many T&E's over the years done by local departments the majority of guns that were submitted met all contract specifications and field testing. The latest selection of the departments new weapon was then based on the lowest bid package of the three top finalist. S&W M&P was low bidder on the last contract.
If I was presently in the market for a new EDC it would not be a Gen 4 Glock based on their present problems.

You believe in Glocks, I believe in Bersa. I don't like Glocks, because I don't like the way they look. I think they are ugly. Liking or not liking a gun is purely subjective. I've read as much bad about Glocks as I have read good. good luck

The problem is not the problem, your attitude about the problem is the problem.

If you are seriously considering a different manufacturer's pistol, take a look at the CZ 75B. They're available in Kalifornia in full and compact sizes and come with 10rd. mags. There are other CZ pistols and variations and even some that are polymer framed.

By the way, I see you still haven't introduced yourself in the new member introduction forum.

Just curious but why are you dismissing a revolver outright? I have several that I absolutely love. They "go bang every time", don't wear out, etc., etc.

I have a S&W L-frame "Mountain Lite" that has a scandium frame and titanium cylinder and holds 7 rounds of .357 magnum. I am pretty sure they make a version that holds 8. They are pricey but a damned reliable and durable gun.

I would say don't knock 'em till you've tried 'em.

Oh, and stop by the intro thread.

Smith & Wesson; Springfield; Ruger; Sig; CZ; ......

Take your pick. All the major manufacturers make great guns. If there is one thing the gun market does well, it weeds out crap or at least spray paints it neon orange.

I only dismiss revolvers because I like the fact of being able to hold 10 rounds and reload extremely fast with magazines.
But I DO like that they tend to be extremely reliable.

Okay,
So thanks to all of you guys I'm starting to look at a few S&W, Sigs and Rugers.
I was under the impression that nothing was as reliable as a glock, but I see now that I'm wrong.
It looks like there are plenty out there that are just as reliable or better.
So thank you all for your input.
Ill keep y'all updated on what I go with!
