Alot of people customize their Glock just to make it work for them better. I added to Extended controls on mine to help with speed. I plan to shoot in a Competition soon and they help me out. It is like some people buy new cars and as soon as they get it off the lot they got to customize them, It makes it their car. Just a little personal Flare...I agree Glocks will shoot out of the box fine and win ever time. I just wanted a little better Trigger and the cotrols to suit me better...To each his own..I guess....

Other than the Trijicon night sights I added, my Gen 3 G23 is completely stock.
I very much dislike Glock factory sights, but with the one small upgrade, it's perfect. Wouldn't change another thing.
Be polite. Be professional. And have a plan to kill everyone you meet.

"casual" gun owner? I dont think so. I carry for protection, and i like it stock just fine. Shoots perfect, never had a malfunction, ever. But you are right i dont shoot as a profession. But i did learn to shoot in the USMC and qualed and requaled expert on pistol and rifle every time. My point was that i would use the extra money to upgrade only if i felt it wasnt doing the job stock. But the 23, 32, and 30 are a fantastic out of the box. My opinion. Dont own a gen 4 though. All gen 3's
