I know a lot of people are into reloads with lead projectiles.hows that working for you and how hard is it to clean the lead out of the barrel ?

Generally speaking if you are doing it right you don't get a lot of leading and it generally comes out easily. If your loads are too hot for lead you can run into issues with leading and bullet failure (rip apart in mid air). Rifling types make a big difference too. It is not recommended to use lead in glocks

I was actually thnking of an after market barrel like Barsto or somethng.

Should be fine. If you look into the particular barrel it should say not for lead if its going to be a problem

Lone Wolf and Storm Lake make barrels for Glocks that you can fire lead bullet handloads in.

Oh cool. Did not know that. May have to look into getting one. First thing first I need to order the springs for a trigger job on mine.

I have been thinking the same thing for my Glock 17. It might make sense to reload 9mm both for consistency and cost if using lead barrels. Of course the after market barrels are not cheap. My kid got a 9mm conversion barrel for one of his Glocks, so maybe will try out lead bullets in his barrel first

Why is it no one mentions KKM Precision? Way better quality the Lone Wolf and up there with bar-sto and storm lake

I've heard from almost everyone not to use lead in stock glock barrels. Does this apply to TMJ bullets? Or any bullet that has lead core?
