Default.45 Gap

What's your opinion on this ammunition? I'm finding in many places here in Texas folks just aren't stocking up on it as much, is there something I don't know? What's the reason for this?

It is designed as a low recoil option to .45 ACP. It doesn't carry as much energy as .45 ACP and is much less accurate than .45 ACP.

Gaston Glock wanted his name on a cartridge.

It was designed to fit into a smaller frame size.

I shot a demo one at the IDPA nationals and was very pleasantly surprised how nice it was. Not nice enough to get a gun in that caliber because of ammo/brass availibility.

I would not consider a pistol in this cal if you gave it to me! That being said, availability of ammo is a problem, If somthing has worked for 97 years, you should probably leave it alone!!! Get a real 45!!!

i disagree with matt g
the ballistics tables shows the 45gap is just a good as an ACP
for ammo - midway usa has several options to order the cartridges!!!!
The Last Glock annual magazine said that the Florida State police has just ****ched over to the GAP
